  • Nebraska Arts Council
The Lincoln Arts Council has a close working relationship with the Nebraska Arts Council (NAC). The NAC serves in the same general manner as does the LAC. It, too, serves as a sort of umbrella for all city arts councils in the state of Nebraska and is a source of funding for the LAC. The NAC is also partially funded by the National Endowment for the Arts and serves city arts councils statewide in an advisory, guidance and funding capacity.

  • National Endowment for the Arts
The LAC has a working relationship with the National Endowment For The Arts (NEA). The NEA was established in 1968 by Congress as an independent agency of the federal government. Its mission is to foster, preserve and promote excellence in the arts and to bring art to all Americans. Basically, the Endowment is the nation's largest funder of the arts and provides monies to all 50 states and to all areas within those 50 states. The LAC receives grants from the NEA.

  • City of Lincoln
The Lincoln Arts Council also works with the City of Lincoln. The most obvious and recent collaboration is Public Art. Such endeavors include the 12th Street Art Zone and the Antelope Valley Project. The LAC receives a yearly grant of $38,254 from the City of Lincoln to promote and assist all arts organizations in Lincoln.
